Wool and silk tie, green with white polka dots

An understated polka dot tie, whose green makes a change from the usual blues and burgundies. It is worn with a white shirt and a navy suit or a tweed jacket.

The pattern: Small white polka dots, well spaced, are scattered in staggered rows over a deep green. The wool and silk gives the ground a matt texture, with a slight mélange, which softens the contrast; from a distance, the tie looks green, barely flecked with white.
