Button-on braces in navy, scattered with fleurs-de-lys in a lighter blue. Discreet under the jacket, they go with a navy or grey suit as well as with flannels.

The pattern: Light blue fleurs-de-lys, in staggered rows and well spaced, on a deep navy. The fabric, with fine horizontal ribs, has a slight sheen; from a distance, the pattern melts into the blue. The topstitched black tabs and the silver-toned buckles remain understated.

The make: Handmade in England. Button-on tabs, adjustable length.
