Suit in Super 120’s wool, charcoal grey Prince of Wales check with a sky blue overcheck

The Prince of Wales check, the emblematic pattern of the British wardrobe, in our most English cut. The sky blue thread brightens the charcoal without making it showy.

The cut: Fitted English cut, two-button jacket. Slanted pockets with a small ticket pocket, working buttonholes on the cuffs, topstitching on the lapels and pockets.

The cloth: 310 g Super 120’s wool, woven by Lanificio Angelico in Biella. The right balance: fine enough for a handsome lustre, hard-wearing enough to hold its shape day after day. A weight to wear all year round.

The trousers: Single pleat, side adjusters and a button fly, as English tradition requires. Slanted pockets, two jetted back pockets.

Optional: The six-button single-breasted waistcoat, for the three-piece version.

The model: 1.86 m, 77 kg, athletic build. He wears a size 50.

Size guide: To find your size, take a garment that fits you well and measure it, then go to our size guide. ‘R’ stands for the Regular size and ‘S’ for the Short size: shorter jacket and sleeves, a jacket that is fuller at the stomach, and trousers one size up from the Regular.

For the waistcoat, we often recommend going up a size.
