The foundation of our Italian models, in a navy herringbone. A pattern you sense more than see: a discreet detail that makes a change from a more classic plain navy.

The cut: Two-button jacket; soft, unstructured and half-lined. Slightly slanted pockets with a small ticket pocket, working buttonholes on the cuffs, detachable throat latch under the collar, pronounced topstitching on the lapels.

The cloth: 360 g worsted virgin wool, woven by Vitale Barberis Canonico in the Biella region. A dense cloth that holds its shape well. An autumn/winter weight.

The trousers: Classic single-pleat cut, belt loops and side adjusters, zip fly. Slanted pockets, two jetted back pockets.

Optional: The six-button single-breasted waistcoat, for the three-piece version.

The model: 1.86 m, 77 kg, athletic build. He wears a size 50.
